Wagner Farm hosts six special events during the summer. There are a variety of activites, but each one is related to an important event or celebration that took place in our agricultural history.
The farm also often hosts other events for community partners. An upcoming one is close to home - a fundraiser for the Glenview Clovers 4-H club. Come out to the farm on Sunday, August 29th between 1 and 5 pm to see some Monster Machines. See how it feels to sit in the drivers' seat of construction, farm and antique equipment. There will also be tractor-drawn hay rides, face painting, and a pedal power tractor pull. Admission is $4 per person for kids age 3-18; no charge for adults. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Download a flyer by clicking here.

Dairy Breakfast ~ June 19, 2010 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm

According to the Midwest Dairy Association, June Dairy Month originated in 1937. It was established to help stabilize dairy demand during periods of peak production, as well as to celebrate the dairy industry and its many contributions to our society.
June Dairy Month continued to evolve over the years and entire communities across the country, both rural and urban, have embraced it and have become involved in many ways. Some celebrate with dairy food demonstrations. In others, dairy princesses have distributed product samples at creameries, grocery stores, and local banks. Some rural communities sponsor cattle shows and princess contests with coronation ceremonies. One of the traditional highlights is a parade, featuring county and regional dairy princesses, town officials, floats and marching bands. Other activities included cow milking contests, cow visits at zoos, or banks offering free milk and ice cream cones.
Celebrate Dairy Month at Wagner Farm with a delicious farm-style breakfast complete with a variety of dairy items. Farm tours, demonstrations, hay rides and plenty of hands-on activities throughout the morning. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $10 for adults and children over 10; $5 for children ages 2-10; children under 2 free.
